non-profit medical society of health
care professionals who treat and/or

(ASHA) is the professional,
scientific, and credentialing association
for more than 115,000 members and affiliates
who are audiologists, speech-language
pathologists, and speech, language,
and hearing scientists. The organization
also advocates for people with communication

Cleft Palate Foundation is
a non-profit organization dedicated
to optimizing the quality of life for
individuals affected by facial birth
defects. It was founded by the American
Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association
in 1973 to be the public service arm
of the professional association.

Operation
Smile treats children around
the world who have correctable facial
deformities. In the 23 years since its
founding in 1982 by Dr. William P. Magee,
a plastic surgeon, and his wife Kathleen,
a nurse and clinical social worker,
Operation Smile has treated thousands
